What went well for Josh Townley-Thomas last season?
Townley-Thomas was able to play a significant role for the NPCC Knights during his lone season on the roster.
Though he averaged 17 minutes per game, his Points per 40-minute rate was >10 points throughout the season. He showcased an ability to score from the paint and get to the free-throw line.
He has great ups and can drop-step dunk from 5 feet around the rim.
His jumping ability also allowed him to rebound the ball effectively- especially over smaller defenders. Not only that, he had a keen sense for protecting the rim on defense, showcasing 25 blocks throughout the season.

What can improve/what will be the role for Josh Townley-Thomas this season?
Townley-Thomas may be a budding talent that if put in the right development could become a contributor to a future Jays roster.
He has the build/frame of a Division 1 college athlete.
If he continues to put on muscle and find ways to develop a jumper, he may be someone to keep an eye on over the years.
With all the ebbs and flows of the transfer portal, it’s difficult to know who will stay and go (especially from those guys who may sit at 10-15 on the roster)— so we’ll hold off on too much expectation/projection of Thomas in a future Jays role.
As for this year- expect him to be a Forward reserve for this squad who will be used to help the team get better during practice and prepare for the future.
As always,
Roll Jays
